School Observation

Program Brief: We will provide both teachers and parents strategies to cope with children & teenagers (4-18) with emotional/behavioral challenges based on a direct observation and information gathered from the parents/teacher. Parents will receive a report with all the information and strategies/support suggested.

Duration: 1-hour direct observation/15 min meeting with teachers.

Educational Assessments

Program Brief: An educational psychology assessment involves a series of different activities to help identify a child’s or a young person’s specific learning style, strengths and areas of need. This knowledge helps to generate suitable recommendations for teachers, parents and other professionals that are used to meet those learning needs of school aged children and teenagers.

Test Name: IQ test (WISC V)

Test Name: Short test (WISC V &WIATT 3)

– Duration:2-3 hours

Counseling Sessions/ Individual Therapy Sessions

Program Brief: Help people with a broad variety of behavioural, social and emotional difficulties. The therapy is a tool that will allow you to acquire a better understanding of yourself and your environment, as well as find solutions to different problems, make changes in different areas and modify behaviours that will help you improve your quality of life. Some of the emotional difficulties that can be treated are:

Study Skills

Program Brief: Individual or group sessions focused in providing strategies in order to improve these skills.

The study skills are a set of actions and strategies that the student realizes to understand and to memorize concepts and contents of the diverse subjects. These actions and strategies are those that are usually used by the students who obtain good academic results. Learn to study is not enough to know the skills, it is necessary to put them into practice daily in all possible subjects until the habit of applying them occurs naturally.

Duration: 1-hour session (we can offer as a program with minimum 10 sessions)

No of Students: Individual/ group of 5 Students

Age Group: 5 to 18 yrs.

Fees: Ind- 600/ per hour group of 4 to 8. Individuals: 150/- per hour. per student

Gifted and Talented Students

Program Brief: We offer a wide range of services to support gifted and talented children. The services that we offer starts with the assessment in order to find out if the child meets the criteria to be considered gifted or/and talented to individual therapy to support his/her emotional, social and behavioral difficulties. We also offer social skills group sessions and counselling sessions for both parents and teacher to help their gifted and talented children/students to reach their potential. We support the schools as well to tailor the appropriate gifted and talented students’ program which can be for an individual or for a group, depending on the school and student/s needs.

Duration: will depend on what they need; assessment, therapy session, parents/teacher support, group sessions or educational programs

Teacher’s training (SOUL)

Program Brief: These sessions aim to provide teachers with knowledge and strategies to support their student in a daily basis. Some of the teacher’s training that are offered:
– Supporting emotional development in students.
– Identifying basic signs of developmental concerns.
– Identifying learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties in students.
– Identifying gifted and talented students.
– How to work with students of determination.
– Accommodations/modifications strategies for students with learning difficulties (age/grade based).
– Accommodations/modifications strategies for students with emotional difficulties(age/grade based).
– Accommodations/modifications strategies for students with behavioral difficulties(age/grade based).
– Accommodations/modifications strategies for gifted and talented students.

Duration: will depends on the school needs (can be a single session or multiple sessions over a week or month)

Parents’ workshops

Program Brief: These group sessions aim to prepare parents with knowledge, strategies and new skills to deal with their children, learning how to react and support their children to grow up in a healthy and supportive environment.

How support a gifted and talented child.

Duration: will depend on the topic (2 hours one-day workshop to a 2hours weekly 4/6/8/10… weeks program)

Parent Counselling

Program Brief: Program Brief: service that provides the required tools, guidance, knowledge and support to parents without them having to worry about being criticized, in an impartial, healthy manner. Through these sessions’ parents become more equipped to take care of their family.

Duration: we can do as individual sessions, as a package or as a group session program

No of Participants: couple (Husband & Wife)

Family Therapy

Program Brief: This type of therapy aims to support family members improving their communication and conflict solving skills.

Family therapy seeks to restore the balance of the family, to improve the communication, the coexistence and to solve tension-generating family confrontations. It is recommended to come to family therapy when there are conflicts in the home and it is not known how to solve them.

Duration: Average sessions will be 1 h and 30 min, but sometimes (and depends how many family members attend) the session can be shorter or longer.

No of Participants: Open Group (based on family size)

Fees: Aed. 850 per couple

Group Therapy

Program Brief: This type of therapy aims to support family members improving their communication and conflict solving skills.

Duration: Average sessions will be 1 h and 30 min, but sometimes (and depends how many family members attend) the session can be shorter or longer.

Emotional & Social Skill Groups

Program Brief: Group sessions consist of small groups of 5 children between the ages of 4-18. Children will be grouped based on their age and skillsets. They will be taught to build their emotional and social skills through interactive group activities. Groups focused on strengthening emotional skills help children develop self-confidence, assertiveness, emotion-regulation and conflict resolution skills. Social skill groups help children learn and practice important life-skills such as greeting others, starting conversations, responding to others, sharing and turn-taking and asking for help.

Duration: 1 hour, Once Weekly

No of Participants: Group of 5

Age Group: 4 to 18 yrs.

Fees: 100/- per hr. per participant
